My personal motto: Take a deep breath and dive right in!... the best way to get to the other side is right through the middle!
My story: I first met Karen in 2009. I was looking for something to compliment my competitive masters rowing and I took her Lift n Lose in-gym class. I saw fantastic results and I improved my overall athletic performance: I was a faster runner and a stronger rower. I ran the Times Colonist 10K race, and ran a personal best by shaving 7 minutes off my best time! I also won the bronze medal at the Canadian Masters Rowing Championship in Victoria, 2009 (below). And I also won silver in the same event in 2011, women’s singles.
After my second baby was born, I took the 10 week Challenge to get back into shape, and I dropped 15lbs! I then went onto the HLP workouts and my dress size has dropped from a 14 to an 8, and I’ve lost close to 30lbs!
The HLP really keeps me focused on my health and fitness goals. Life gets hairy sometimes with small kids and living overseas, so there’s a lot of travelling back and forth between Saudi Arabia and North America.
